Plant oils and butters
Olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter and castor oil form the base of Rooted's current soap range. Cocoa butter is also used in the Cocoa-Rose Geranium Soap, and sweet almond oil in the Ylang Tea-Tree Soap.
At Rooted: These oils and butters are chosen for the character, structure and creamy lather of each handcrafted bar.

Clays and activated charcoal
Bentonite clay is used across the current range. Green kaolin clay and activated charcoal appear in the Ylang Tea-Tree Soap, while red kaolin clay appears in the Cocoa-Rose Geranium Soap.
At Rooted: They give particular bars their natural colour and visual character while keeping the ingredient list clear and visible.
Natural ingredients can still be unsuitable for an individual person. Stop using a product if it causes irritation.
Essential oils and fragrance
The Ylang Tea-Tree Soap contains tea tree, lemongrass and ylang ylang essential oils. The Cocoa-Rose Geranium Soap contains geranium, sandalwood and rose blend essential oils. Shea-Olive Soap has no added essential oils or fragrance.
At Rooted: Scent is part of the experience of two bars, while Shea-Olive is available for customers who prefer an unscented option.
Fragrance is a personal preference and natural origin is not an allergy-safety guarantee. Patch test before first use and seek qualified advice for known allergies.
