General education, not a diagnosis or personalised medical advice. For persistent symptoms or known allergies, speak with a qualified healthcare professional.

Begin with what you notice

Skin can change with weather, routine and everyday life. Rather than treating a skin type as a permanent label, begin with what you notice: does your skin feel dry, oily in some areas, easily irritated, or simply in need of a gentle uncomplicated bar?

Rooted's skin-type suggestions are practical starting points, not diagnoses or guarantees. The full ingredient list and your own experience matter more than a category name alone.

Three considered starting points

Ylang Tea-Tree Soap is a fresh, herbaceous bar with activated charcoal, clays and essential oils. It is a thoughtful option for combination or oil-prone skin and for people who enjoy a stronger, uplifting fragrance.

Cocoa-Rose Geranium Soap combines cocoa butter, olive oil, shea butter, castor oil and red clay with a gentle floral fragrance. It is suited to normal to dry skin and to those who enjoy a soft rose-and-geranium scent.

Shea-Olive Soap is Rooted's unscented, minimal bar. Its simple olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, castor oil and clay formula makes it the best starting point in the range for very sensitive or dry-feeling skin, and for anyone who prefers no added fragrance.

Give your choice some care

Use one new product at a time so that it is easier to notice how it feels for you. Store a handmade soap bar where it can dry between uses, and stop using it if it causes discomfort.

If you would like help choosing between the bars, Rooted can talk you through the listed ingredients and intended use on WhatsApp. That conversation is product guidance, not medical advice.
